We left the place in great condition — cleaned thoroughly, followed the lease, and took care of the apartment. Despite that, they kept 75% of our $2,000 deposit, claiming only a “small portion” was refundable with no real explanation. We reached out to ask why and were met with vague or no answers. It honestly feels like they planned not to return most of it no matter what. We were respectful tenants and still ended up being treated unfairly.
