Fairly nice building EXCEPT if you have an apartment near the trash/recycling rooms, the hallway smells horrrrible outside these rooms. Probably in large part because Stanza is completely out of compliance with SB 1383 which as of January 1, 2024 requires that clearly labeled and color-coded green bins be made accessible to all tenants in the building's designated waste collection areas and that organic waste be collected at least weekly. I wonder if anyone has reported them yet and if they're just paying the fines as a cost of business...
Disappointing and stressful experience as a resident. A leak from the unit above flooded my bathroom over the weekend. Maintenance tore out my bathroom flooring, left drying machines running, and moved my belongings — then went silent. No timeline, no follow-up, no point of contact. Worst part: they entered my apartment repeatedly with no advance notice and no consent, even after I asked in writing for proper notice. The unit was left unlivable right as family was visiting. I expected basic communication and respect for my home and privacy. I got neither.
Lived here for a year, terrible service, very hard to reach for work orders, appliances seem to break often in the apartments. The managers are lazy, and all of the numbers for emergency work orders in the building don’t work. Don’t even get me started on how often the elevators are broke. Way too expensive for a rough location. Constant homeless surround the outside of the building as well as dog pee smells in basically every hallway. I’ve walked out of the main entrance to either human feces or dog feces countless times.
