The Louise Los Feliz

I'm not a resident here, but I was visiting a friend who lives in one of the affordable housing units at this property. What I witnessed has serious implications for anyone considering renting here, especially in the affordable/income-restricted units. My friend received a rent increase notice posted on their door, dated July 29, 2026. The notice stated their rent would increase by several hundred dollars, effective September 1st, 2026.

I've lived in a couple of newly built apartment communities in Los Angeles, but this is the first apartment where I've truly felt happy living. The management team is excellent, and the staff is always friendly, professional, and quick to respond whenever something needs attention. I originally chose this apartment because of my children. There are gifted-program middle and high schools nearby, as well as several excellent elementary schools within a short distance. Among the apartment communities in the Hollywood area, I think this is one of the best locations.

I’ve only lived here for one day and it’s already been a colossal headache. First, we were told to move in at 11am the next day and then Jules changed it to 12pm, which is half the day gone, and we are still charged a full day’s rent. However, we were told we could have the keys earlier if we got the cashier’s check in before 5:30pm the day prior but it was 4:45pm when we were told this.
